2024 HBCU transfer portal tracker: All-SWAC wide receiver Kisean Johnson leaving Alabama State

Alabama State will be losing one of its premier offensive weapons as wide receiver Kisean Johnson announced his intentions to enter the transfer portal Thursday afternoon.

“What’s A life Without Risks $$$$ Bet on yourself tanna,” Johnson posted on X along with a graphic announcing his decision. “I’m officially in The Transfer Portal. Time to Put it in yall faces! LLS LL7.”

Johnson caught 61 passes for 829 yards and seven touchdowns in 2023, earning first-team All-SWAC honors for the Hornets, who finished 7-4 this season. In parts of four seasons at ASU, Johnson has caught 104 passes, collecting 1,487 yards and 11 touchdowns.
