Spike Lee’s Children Satchel And Jackson Lee Named As This Year’s Golden Globes Ambassadors

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has announced that Satchel and Jackson Lee as this year’s Golden Globe Ambassadors. They are the children of prolific director Spike Lee and producer Tonya Lewis Lee.

The sibling duo will use their platform as Ambassadors to amplify social issues by working with a charity of their choice. Satchel will work with a New York-based LGBTQIA+ health care group Callen-Lorde, while Jackson will work with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. Both organizations will receive a $25,000 grant given on the Lees’ behalf from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

Lee is no stranger to the Golden Globes, receiving Best Director and Best Motion Picture – Drama nods for his films Do The Right Thing and BlacKkKlansman. 

The 78th annual Golden Globes are set to air live on NBC on Feb. 28.
