Lil Nas X made his highly-anticipated Saturday Night Live debut this week. He was featured on the season’s final episode along with The Queens Gambit star Anya Taylor-Joy.
In addition to being featured in select skits, he also performed his chart-topping single “Montero (Call Me by Your Name)” and his new single, “Sun Goes Down.” During the performance of the former, he had a wardrobe malfunction when his pants ripped in a pole dancing scene reminiscent of the song’s music video. After covering himself during the remainder of the performance, it went on without a hitch.
Lil Nas X laughed it off on Twitter, writing, “NOT MY PANTS RIPPED ON LIVE ON TV. i wanted to do my pole routine so bad this what i get lmaoo.”

at first i was afraid to even perform. then we rehearsed for 2 weeks, then all of the dancers got removed because one had covid and new ones had to learn the routine in 24 hours, and then i ended up ripping my pants and couldn’t finish. everything happens for a reason tho lol????
