Makur Maker, the first five-star recruit to choose to play at an HBCU, has declared for the 2021 NBA draft.
Maker, according to reports, will not sign with an agent to keep his options open to return to Howard for his sophomore season.
Maker, who committed to Howard last July, played only two games for the Bison last season before a groin injury sidelined him. In those two games, Maker averaged 11.5 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists per game.

Prior to committing to Howard, Maker was No. 75 in ESPN’s NBA draft rankings.
Maker is the cousin of current NBA forward Thon Maker.
