Former Auburn QB Chayil Garnett commits to Tennessee State

After entering the transfer portal last month, former Auburn quarterback Chayil Garnett has committed to play for new head coach Eddie George at Tennessee State.

Garnett made the announcement Monday or Twitter.

“When God had a plan for you, You follow! Nashville let’s work!” Garnett tweeted.

The 6-foot-1, 216-pound, dual-threat quarterback out of Lakeland, Fla., signed with Auburn in 2020 under former head coach Gus Malzahn and will have four years of eligibility remaining.

247Sports classified Garnett as a three-start prospect who selected Auburn over Duke, Charlotte, Temple and Coastal Carolina.
