During an Instagram Live interview with The Jasmine Brand, Nene Leakes revealed that her husband Gregg Leakes is battling cancer once more.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum stated that Gregg was in the hospital recovering from surgery.
“He’s been in the hospital for a week, tomorrow. I’m sure he’ll be home in about a week or so. He had to have a surgery,” Nene told the publication.
The news comes just two years after NeNe announced on Instagram in May 2019 that he had completed chemotherapy.
NeNe noted that this battle has been “difficult.” She also explained that Gregg has been different. “He’s super small. If you’ve ever been around somebody who’s had cancer before, he’s different. He’s different.”
When Gregg received his diagnosis in June of 2018, NeNe said it took a toll on them. “It’s very, very hard to be a caretaker,” she said to People. “People call and they say, ‘How’s Gregg doing?’ and I want to throw the phone and say, ‘How the f**k am I doing? I’m going crazy over here, Gregg is wearing me out!’ I am not good at this s**t! I would rather hire somebody. Gregg doesn’t wants me to hire somebody, but I’m just not good. I’m not good at fluffing the pillow; I’m good at buying the pillow.”
