Tamar Braxton Open To Taking Over Meghan McCain's Spot On 'The View'

Black America cheered this week when Meghan McCain announced that she’d be leaving The View after four years on the panel. McCain has made headlines for nasty verbal spats with moderator Whoopi Goldberg and ongoing tense debates with Joy Behar. She attributes her exit to wanting to spend more time in Washington D.C. with her family and focus on being a mother to her baby girl, Liberty.

While our people are cheering for McCain’s exit, many are wondering who could replace her. Could you see Tamar Braxton on The View? Apparently, she’s is open to the idea.

The singer and reality star was a co-host of the Fox daytime talk show The Real from 2013-2016. She exited season 3 for a multitude of reasons. Love B. Scott exclusively reported that executives found the Get Ya Life star difficult to work with. She was also allegedly found to not be marketable to the show’s demographic of millennials and house moms due to her perceived outlandish personality.

In light of her exit Braxton blaming her former co-hosts, namely Loni Love, for playing a part in the termination. She later apologized, alleging WE Tv was behind it. She also admitted that being fired from the show and the embarrassment from the media frenzy that followed sent her into a downward spiral.

“The first time I knew that things weren’t normal is when everything went down with The Real. I was in my bedroom, it was completely dark,” she told Taraji P. Henson in a sit-down interview on Henson’s Facebook talk show earlier this year. “You don’t shower, you don’t eat and you don’t know what day of the week it is or the time, and you don’t care.”

Now, Braxton says The View may be an option, tweeting, “Tamar on The View” with eyeball emojis.

The reaction has been mixed. Some fans are here for it, but others noted that Braxton may not be a good fit for the political and social debate roundtable.
