'Black Panther' Sequel Taps Michaela Coel To Join Cast

Acclaimed Chewing Gum and I May Destroy You star Michaela Coel has joined the cast of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

The film is currently filming in Atlanta. No details are known about her role, but of course, people are already speculating that she could be Ororo Munroe / Storm. The film is already introducing Namor, played by Tenoch Huerta, and Namor is always cited as the first mutant in Marvel Comics. But again, nothing is officially known about her role.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is expected to see returning stars Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke and Angela Bassett

Variety exclusively broke the news of Coel’s casting.

More to come.
