Jack Harlow Drops Funkmaster Flex Freestyle

Jack Harlow is in a class of his own.

Two years since his last visit, the “First Class” rapper returned to Funkmaster Flex where he dropped another freestyle. Over Pharrell and Gwen Stefani’s “Can I Have It Like That,” he reflected on his chart domination (“I just went No. 1 with the Dutchess”) and future plans, including winning his first Grammy.

“When I get that Grammy, I ain’t sending no apology text / I ain’t coming to be humble, Flex called me to flex,” he raps, referencing Macklemore’s apology text to Kendrick Lamar after winning the Grammy for Best Rap Album.

Later, the star of the upcoming White Men Can’t Jump reboot addressed the criticism surrounding his race. “My success, got some people stomach turning / Saying I’m just white and I got lucky, I ain’t earn it / Like I’m just a plant and all this shit was predetermined,” he raps.

On Monday night, Harlow stopped by “The Tonight Show” for an interview and performance of his No. 1 hit “First Class.”

“It’s validating, I appreciate it. It’s fragile to me and I know I worked for it,” he told Jimmy Fallon of his success. “I really put in the work so I can always stand on that. No one can say this was gifted to me.”

Harlow’s album Come Home the Kids Miss You dropped Friday featuring Drake, Lil Wayne, Pharrell, and Justin Timberlake.
