North Carolina A&T baseball game postponed after shooting near Greensboro campus

A non-conference baseball game scheduled between North Carolina A&T and Gardner-Webb was canceled due to a reported shooting in Greensboro.

According to a television news report, a female N.C. A&T student was shot and killed on Tuesday evening in an area near the campus. The report indicated that a second person was shot and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.

Gardner-Webb held a 7-6 lead when the game was called. No makeup date has been announced.
