Kamari Stephens, FAMU defensive lineman, is back in transfer portal

Florida A&M defensive lineman Kamari Stephens is re-entering the transfer portal one month after declaring his commitment to the Rattlers.

This news came just a few hours after the SWAC announced that Stephens, along with quarterback Jeremy Moussa, would be representing FAMU at SWAC Media Day.

The former All-SWAC selection initially entered the transfer portal on May 1 as a grad transfer, with two years of eligibility remaining.

He received offers from numerous FCS and FBS programs including UCF, North Texas, UAB, Utah State, Buffalo, Jacksonville State, and UNLV.

On May 31, however, Stephens removed himself from the transfer portal in a return to the Rattlers.

Stephens recorded 20 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, four forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, and an interception in 11 games last season. He was named to the All-SWAC First Team.
