Three-star 2024 Texas high school quarterback commits to Jackson State

Jackson State continues to build its future quarterback room after receiving a commitment from three-star high school QB Ethan Terrell.

The Lewisville, Texas Class of 2024 quarterback announced his commitment through a Twitter post that reads, “The legacy continues… #GuardTheeYard #ProtectTheeBlock #TheeILove. 

 

Terrell was the Texas District 6-6A unanimous Offensive Newcomer of the Year after throwing for 2,368 yards and 18 touchdowns as a sophomore. 

In his junior season, Terrell completed 62.7 % of his passes for 1,207 yards and six touchdowns. However, he utilized his legs more, rushing for 985 yards and 17 touchdowns to lead Lewisville High School to the 6A regional final for the first time in 27 years. 

scouting report from QB Hit List highlights Terrell’s positives as his size, (6 foot 2, 189 pounds), accuracy, arm strength, elusiveness and ability to make throws on the run. He also was lauded for exhibiting poise and decision-making.

Before committing to Jackson State, Terrell also had offers from Northern Arizona, Air Force, Mississippi Valley State, Austin Peay, Navy, Texas Southern, Sam Houston State, and Jacksonville State.
