‘The Irrational’ Trailer: Jesse L. Martin Returns To Crime-Solving Roots In New NBC Series

Following a years-long stint as Joe West on The CW superhero television series The Flash, actor Jesse L. Martin is returning to the world of crime procedurals in a way you wouldn’t expect. 

The first trailer has dropped for The Irrational, an upcoming series from NBC.  It marks a return to form of sorts for Martin, who is known for his role as NYPD Detective Ed Green on Law & Order

The official description is as follows:

The Irrational” follows world-renowned professor of behavioral science Alec Mercer (Jesse L. Martin) as he lends his unique expertise on an array of high-stakes cases involving governments, law enforcement and corporations. His insight and unconventional approach to understanding human behavior lead him and the team on a series of intense, unexpected journeys to solve illogical puzzles and perplexing mysteries. The show is based on best-selling author Dan Ariely’s book, “Predictably Irrational.”

Aside from Martin, the new NBC series also stars Maahra Hill, Travina Springer, Molly Kunz and Arash DeMaxi.

The Irrational premieres on Sept. 25 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC. Here’s the official trailer for The Irrational below.
