Jackson State passes rare SWAC test to stay unbeaten in conference play

The Jackson State women’s basketball team rallied from a 10-point deficit in the final 5:44 left in the fourth quarter to take down the Southern Jaguars 63-58 at home Monday.

Ti’Ian Boler dropped 20 points and six rebounds in the win.

The Tigers had two other players score in double figures. Keshuna Luckett added 16 points, five assists, and two steals, and Miya Crump helped out with 13 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and four steals.

Jackson State out-rebounded Southern 37-28 in Monday’s game, led by Crump’s seven boards. The Tigers also collected 12 offensive rebounds and scored eight second-chance points.

Jackson State’s defense held Southern to only 32 percent shooting from the field, including 30 percent from beyond the arc.
