Take a look at Tennessee State’s first HBCU hockey jersey

As the Tennessee State men’s and women’s ice hockey programs prepare for their 2025 debut, we now know what the Tigers will look like when they take the ice.

Head coach Duante Abercrombie unveiled a sharp Tiger blue sweater during the Roar City panel at TSU’s National Alumni Association convention.

The Tennessee State sweater, manufactured by UnderArmour, features a white tiger outlined in red and the TSU logo on both sleeves. The number is red with white outlines, and a white nameplate with blue lettering completes the look.

Tennessee State will be the first HBCU with an ice hockey team when the men’s and women’s teams debut during the 2025-26 season.
