*Minnesota Vikings rookie cornerback Khyree Jackson, age 24, tragically passed away in a car accident overnight. The devastating news has sent shockwaves through the NFL community, with widespread condolences pouring in.
Jackson, a promising young player and fourth-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, had recently joined the Vikings after a standout career at Oregon. The accident occurred in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, involving a maroon Dodge Charger carrying Jackson, Isaiah Hazel, and Anthony Lytton.
According to Maryland State Police, the crash happened when a silver Infiniti, attempting to change lanes at high speed, collided with the Charger. The impact sent the Charger crashing into a moving Chevy Impala before veering off the road and colliding with trees.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and pronounced Jackson and Hazel dead on-site. Lytton was transported to a local hospital but, unfortunately, succumbed to his injuries. Miraculously, no other individuals involved in the collision were injured.
