*Hints of more installments to come from Lifetime’s “Where Is Wendy Williams?” docuseries are not sitting well with a longtime friend of the former daytime talk show queen.

According to theJasmine Brand, Regina Schell, reportedly voiced her concerns about the controversial four-part show as she condemned producers for hinting that more installments could be in the works. Schell said she has been a close associate of Williams for several decades. In her eyes, the way Lifetime exploited Williams in the docuseries is unlike anything she believes the 59-year-old personality would have approved.

“What more could they do to the woman, haven’t they exploited her enough?” Schell said about potential follow-ups to “Where Is Wendy Williams?”

At this time, no updates from the original producers of “Where Is Wendy Williams?” have been provided about if or when more installments are on the horizon.

The docuseries, which premiered Feb. 24, 2024, on Lifetime, highlighted Williams’ status after the cancellation of her self-titled talk show. The former radio host opened up about her struggles with money, health, and addiction, issues she has been facing over the past few years.

For Williams, Schell expressed the TV host thought “Where Is Wendy Williams?” would be the opposite of what it became.

“It was supposed to be a comeback kid story, not crush Wendy and make her unproducible,” said Schell “…It was frustrating to watch that and think that you are going to have a whole different story,”

Singling out several scenes, Schell referenced a viral moment in the documentary, where Williams took off her wig during a visit from her friend Blac Chyna. According to Schell, this on-camera reveal would never have been greenlighted by her friend.

“She would never want to be seen with her wig off on national television,” she said while referencing another situation involving Williams’ wig.

The situation, which Schell recalled, occurred during the height of Williams’ career. At the time, the entertainer allegedly began crying after a taping. When she asked what was going on, Schell mentioned that Williams told her she was upset about her wig looking crooked,

“She told me she was crying because her wig was crooked,” Schell revealed. ”She was upset about a crooked wig. Can you imagine her wig being completely off?”

Williams’ wig wasn’t the only thing Schell took issue with, about “Where Is Wendy Williams?,”

A scene involving a conversation Williams’ then-manager Will Selby had with the bestselling author was mentioned. The scene-in-question found Selby claiming to “notice” a half-empty bottle of vodka in the room that he accused his famous client of drinking the majority of that morning.

“She was very secretive about things like she would not have had bottles of liquor out for people to see…she would never have done that,” Schell said about the scene.
