Al B Sure Issues Cease-and-Desist to Amazon and Publisher of Salacious Kim Porter Memoir | VIDEO

*Singer Al B Sure!, who’s also the ex-husband of the late Kim Porter, has issued a cease-and-desist letter to Amazon and the publishers of a newly released book claiming to be Porter’s memoir, titled “Kim’s Lost Words.”

The self-published book, attributed to the pseudonymous author Jamal T. Millwood—a name linked to conspiracy theories involving the late Tupac Shakur—has ignited controversy and legal action.

The book paints a scandalous picture of Porter’s past, alleging sexual encounters between Sure! and Porter, as well as Sean “Diddy” Combs, stirring outrage from all parties involved.

Sure!, whose full name is Albert Joseph Brown III, vehemently denies the book’s claims, stating that he has been “defamed by false and malicious statements” and demanding a cessation of the book’s sales. That’s not all he wants. Sure! is requesting a public apology and an acknowledgment of the fabrications posed about his character.

The actual author of “Kim’s Lost Words,” Todd Christopher Guzze—who also operates under the name Chris Todd—has made headlines previously for his investigative works on famed mysteries, such as the Zodiac Killer and JonBenét Ramsey. Despite his assertive claims of holding authentic material from Porter, Guzze admitted uncertainties regarding the book’s overall authenticity.

Guzze – along with Amazon’s Jeff Bezos and CEO Andy Jassy — were sent the cease-and-desist by Robert J. Hantman, a lawyer for Sure!, on Friday, according to Page Six.

In light of these developments, Porter’s children have publicly condemned the memoir, insisting their mother never wrote a book and urging readers to dismiss it as a hurtful fabrication. They expressed concerns regarding the implications the book carries regarding their mother’s legacy.

Moreover, the ongoing turmoil arrives at a moment when Sean Combs is facing serious legal issues, being arrested on charges linked to racketeering and trafficking. Advocates for justice for Porter, including Sure!, are pressing for deeper investigations into her untimely death, suggesting that the circumstances surrounding it require closer scrutiny.

As this narrative unfolds, the veracity of “Kim’s Lost Words” hangs precariously, raising vital conversations about truth in publishing, the ethical responsibilities of platforms like Amazon, and the impact of misinformation on the lives of those portrayed.
