CNN Bans Conservative Commentator Ryan Girdusky After Racist Remark to Muslim Journalist | Video

*Conservative panelist Ryan Girdusky has been banned from making future appearances on CNN following his offensive remarks on “CNN Newsnight With Abby Phillip” on Monday night.

During the discussion, Girdusky and Muslim journalist Mehdi Hasan sparred over Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally on Sunday. Hasan said he is a “supporter of the Palestinians,” prompting  Girdusky to tell him “I hope your beeper doesn’t go off,” referencing reports that Israel concealed explosives inside pagers to target Hezbollah members in Lebanon.

Hasan, founder and editor-in-chief of Zeteo News, was stunned by the comment, asking, “Did you just say I should die? Did you just say I should be killed on live TV?”

Girdusky backtracked, and Phillip told him that his remark was “completely out of pocket.” In response to the segment, CNN issued a statement stating that Girdusky “will not be welcomed back at our network.”

The network added, “There is zero room for racism or bigotry at CNN or on our air. We aim to foster thoughtful conversations and debate including between people who profoundly disagree with each other in order to explore important issues and promote mutual understanding. But we will not allow guests to be demeaned or for the line of civility to be crossed.”
