As she gears up for her sophomore album Magdalene, FKA twigs teams up with Future on her new single “holy terrain.”
The trap-infused track, produced by twigs, Skrillex, and Jack Antonoff, finds Hndrxx adding his syrupy flow over a hypnotic rhythm. In the trippy video, the avant-garde singer rides a bull and performs choreographed moves with her dancers under an ominous desert sky.
“holy terrain” follows the lead single “cellophane,” which was released earlier this year. Magdalene, the follow-up to FKA twigs’ 2014 critically-acclaimed debut LP1, arrives Oct. 25.
The 9-track album was recorded over the last three years in London, New York, and Los Angeles, and is her “most masterful, innovative work to date,” according to a press release.
