Drake Inspired to Write After Hearing Summer Walker’s Album

Drake is singing Summer Walker’s praises.

After hearing her new album Over It, which dropped Friday, Champagne Papi messaged the Atlanta songstress on Instagram. Walker posted the DM conversation in which Drake revealed his favorite track, “Fun Girl.” He captioned it with a series of exploding head emojis.

Drizzy, who collaborated with Walker on the remix to the platinum-certified “Girls Need Love,” went on to shower more praise on her. “U snapped,” he told Walker.

He was so inspired that he wrote two songs. “Just made me write two songs it’s 7:30 am here,” he added. “Album crazy.”

A humbled Walker responded, “Me inspiring you. Is crazy.”

Walker shared the DM exchange and also revealed her favorite song on the album, which is “Body.”

Over It is not only winning Drake’s acclaim, but is also expected to top the Billboard 200. According to early projections, the album is on track to move 115,000-125,000 units in its first week. All 18 album tracks remain in the top 30 on Apple Music including collaborations with 6LACK, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Jhené Aiko, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, and Drizzy.
