Just days after dropping the Metro Boomin-produced “Heartless,” The Weeknd serves up a second single, “Blinding Lights.”
On the ’80s-inspired track, the Starboy calls out for a lover over a synth-heavy instrumental. “I’m blinded by the lights / No, I can’t sleep until I feel your touch,” he sings.
Earlier this month, he shot a music video on Fremont Street in Las Vegas. Abel also stars in a commercial for Mercedes-Benz’ EQC, which is soundtracked by “Blinding Lights.”
The two tracks mark the first solo music from The Weeknd since his 2018 EP My Dear Melancholy, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
