Florida tight ends coach Larry Scott to be named Howard head coach

Howard is set to hire Florida assistant Larry Scott as its next head coach, according to reports.

Scott will be the third head coach since 2017.

Scott, who was most recently the tight ends coach at Florida, will assume his first full time head coaching position, according to Football Scoop.

He was the interim head coach at Miami in 2015, going 4-2 in six games. Scott has also had coaching stints at South Florida, Miami and Tennessee as the Volunteers offensive coordinator in 2017.
