Former ESPN 100 and four-star power forward Carte’are Gordon is transferring to Grambling

Former Northwest Florida State power forward Carte’are Gordon is transferring to Grambling State to finish his college career.

“I am extremely excited to be apart of the family!” he said in a tweet. “Big things in the future for us! Thankful to announce I am going to be a Grambling State Tiger to finish my college career!! Blessed.”

The 6-foot-9 big man played in six of 11 games at the Niceville, Florida junior college averaging 9.2 points per game and 6.5 rebounds.

He began his collegiate career at St. Louis University during the 2018-19 season. Gordon averaged 8.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.8 blocked shots in 13 games for SLU before he decided to transfer to DePaul where he did not play.

A former ESPN 100 high school recruit, Gordon led (St. Louis) Webster Groves High to two Missouri state championships.
