Director Christian Nolan Jones’ Brown with Blue short film has officially premiered through Issa Rae Presents’ #ShortFilmSundays after screening at several film festivals. The film stars Patrick Cage, Zoë Soul, Curtiss Cook Jr., Corey Champagne and ReGina Nicole. The logline: A handyman and his webcam vixen girlfriend struggle with an addiction to cope with their past mistakes.
The Atlanta-bred Jones, trained at Howard University & New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and screened his first short, 2017’s Print Shop, at multiple festivals. Brown with Blue including the Atlanta Film Festival, and won the award for Best Local film at the Atlanta Underground Film Festival.
Jones was accepted into HBO’s Visiting Directors Fellowship, allowing him to shadow and work under directors on series at the network including Misha Green’s Lovecraft Country. He has also directed and produced videos for A Boogie, French Montana and Lil Keed. He’s also produced digital content for brands such as Club Monaco, Samsung, 1800 Tequila, and Revlon.
