*Adele allegedly had sports agent Rich Paul sign a prenup before tying the knot to protect her estimated $220 million fortune.
We reported previously that the Grammy-winning British singer, 35, recently revealed her newly married status at her pal Alan Carr’s comedy show in Los Angeles. One audience member told Deuxmoi: “I was at Alan Carr’s comedy show in LA tonight and Adele was in the audience. Alan asked the crowd if anyone got married recently and Adele shouted ‘I did’.”
Another witness added: “When he asked if anyone got married recently she yelled ‘I did’. Super cute all around and was super sweet but dipped right before it ended.”
Adele was previously married to Simon Konecki, with whom she shares a 10-year-old son, Angelo. According to The Blast, she gave up a chunk of her wealth after their divorce because there wasn’t a prenuptial agreement.
According to an insider, the prenup did “cause some friction” between Adele and Paul.
“She believes in love, and she says talking about anything to do with money is a sure-fire romance killer. She was right,” the source told the National Enquirer, per Radar Online. “A prenup’s signed, and Adele and Rich put it behind them… hopefully.”
Last year, Adele was spotted wearing a large diamond on her finger but denied being engaged. It’s unclear when she tied the knot with the American sports agent and founder of the management company Klutch Sports Group, which represents LeBron James.
She sparked engagement rumors in February 2022 when she wore a diamond ring to the Brit Awards.
In an interview with Elle magazine in August 2022, Adele stated: “I’ve never been in love like this. I’m obsessed with him. I definitely want more kids.”
