It has been announced that Alabama A&M Bulldogs quarterback Aqeel Glass is the first player selected to the HBCU Legacy Bowl
The HBCU Legacy Bowl is a postseason all-star game featuring the best and brightest draft-eligible football players from HBCUs.

Scheduled to take place on February 19, 2022, the game will be played at Yulman Stadium in New Orleans, Louisiana and will be broadcast live on NFL Network.
The game is being presented in association with the Black College Football Hall of Fame and partnered by former Super Bowl champion with the Seattle Seahawks Bobby Wagner.

Glass is coming off a spring season in which he was named SWAC Offensive Player of the Year and the Black College Football Player of the Year.
He finished the season putting up 338.8 passing yards per game, recording 16 touchdowns to just four interceptions in only four games. The Bulldogs finished the season unbeaten on their way to defeating the UAPB Golden Lions in the SWAC Championship Game; their first conference title since 2006.
Glass and the Bulldogs will begin their quest for a second straight SWAC championship this Saturday when they kick off the season against the South Carolina State Bulldogs.
