Alabama State set to launch sports network with HudlTV

Alabama State University becomes the latest HBCU to launch its own sports streaming platform, announcing a partnership with HudlTV on Wednesday that introduces the Hornet Sports Network to ASU stakeholders.

“We are excited to launch the Hornet Sports Network powered by HudlTV this week,” ASU athletic director Jason Cable said in a statement released by the university. “It will allow our fans to see exclusive content provided by the Hornet Sports Network and will allow us to continue to elevate the brand of Alabama State University athletics.”

The Hornet Sports Network will stream various home games for different sports across campus, as well as special features such as coaches’ shows, interviews with coaches and athletes, and different exclusives available to paid subscribers.

The first Hornet Sports Network broadcast will feature Alabama State’s men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader against SWAC foe Jackson State on Thursday, November 11, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Eastern/5:30 p.m. local time.
