'All American': HBCU-Set Spinoff Starring Geffri Maya In Development At The CW

Is there an All American universe coming to The CW? It looks like that could be possible.

TVLine is reporting that a spinoff of The CW football drama series, which gained new life and a cult-like following when its first season hit Netflix, is in development at the network.

The development process is still early but would be introduced as a backdoor pilot during of All American season 3. It would be set at a historically Black university and follow Geffri Maya’s character Simone Hicks as she heads to college. The network or the studio, Warner Bros. Television, would comment on TVLine’s exclusive report.

Simone was first introduced in the second season of the show and in the third season, she begins her senior year at Beverly and is the girlfriend of Jordan Baker. When she was introduced, she convinced Jordan (Michael Evans Behling) that he was the father of her unborn child due to issues with her own parents. After the lie was revealed, Simone and Jordan got past it and became a couple.

The character of Simone was introduced in All American‘s second season. She is entering her senior year at Beverly High and the girlfriend of Jordan Baker (Michael Evans Behling), whom she led to believe was the father of her unborn child. It turned out that the father is a student at Simone’s previous school, Westlake High.
