*Angelina Jolie has teased details about her forthcoming clothing line.
The superstar hit up Instagram on Wednesday to announce Atelier Jolie, a creative collective that will debut in the fall, People reports.
Jolie said the atelier will be a place “for creative people to collaborate with a skilled and diverse family of expert tailors, pattern makers, and artisans from around the world.”
A source tells People the endeavor “has been years in the making. [Jolie] wants the focus to be about respecting and putting forward the people who rarely get credited for making the clothes, fabrics, and embroideries.”
On Instagram, Joile said Atelier Jolie “stems from my appreciation and deep respect for the many tailors and makers I’ve worked with over the years, a desire to make use of the high-quality vintage material and deadstock fabric already available, and also to be part of a movement to cultivate more self-expression.”
Deadstock materials and leftover garments are the only materials that will be used by Atelier Jolie, People reports.
Per the company’s website, Atelier Jolie “will bring together a diverse team, including apprenticeships for refugees and other talented, underappreciated groups, with positions of dignity based on skill,” wishing that “as we work with global artisans and creators, we hope to help share the richness of their cultural heritage and support the development of their own businesses.”
