Anonymous donor awards Tuskegee University second-largest gift in school history

Tuskegee University’s campus improvement drive got a major boost Monday as the university announced an anonymous donation of 20 million dollars towards several campus programs.

This marks the second time in four years Tuskegee has received a 20 million dollar gift.

This one will provide faculty leadership positions, an endowed scholarship, enhance on-campus student affairs and campus security staffing, develop STEM programs and applied research, and match a UNCF endowment fund.

“This gift will allow us to invest in our students, faculty, programs and infrastructure, enabling us to enhance our academic reputation, enrich the student experience and continue our work to reach milestones within our strategic plan,” TU president Dr. Charlotte Morris said. “It will provide additional resources for us to implement vital initiatives, further securing the campus, and fostering a more dynamic community.”

Just last week, the Tuskegee athletic department announced that Cleve Abbott Stadium and James B. Washington Field are having lights installed.
