The SAG Award nominations for 2021 are in and Chadwick Boseman has made history.

With his role in the ensembles for both Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and Da 5 Bloods, Chadwick Boseman has four posthumous nods. Both films were nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

His nominations also include Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for Levee in George C. Wolfe’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for Stormin Norman in Spike Lee’s Da 5 Bloods.

Both Jamie Foxx and Maggie Smith were nominated four times in one year, but this was on both the film and television fronts. Boseman is the very first actor to nab four film nominations for the SAG Awards in one year.
