Chinatown Market recently dropped a capsule collection at Urban Outfitters that honors classic Nickelodeon cartoon series SpongeBob SquarPants. However, it’s now become, whether intentional or not, the perfect tribute to show creator Stephen Hillenburg, who passed away last week (November 27) due to complications with ALS.
The UO-exclusive features graphic tees and a hoodie that show off Spongebob and his best pet pal Gary the Snail in various themes. From a Nirvana-esque etching of Spongebob in black & yellow, to a tee that literally has a sponge, starfish and crab on it — a clear nod to the show’s most eccentric characters — the options to choose from are pretty on-point. If like the rest of us you want to find a cool way to show your love to Hillenburg and the hilarious gifts he gave us through ‘Bob and Co., this set of shirts makes for a fitting piece of homage. Salute, fam.
Get the Chinatown Market x SpongeBob Squarepants collection right now online, and residents nears the LA area can stop by UO Melrose this Sunday (December 9) for a special customization event. See all the options below:
