Chloe Barzey

Global Client Account Lead;
Atlanta Office Managing Director
Accenture
Atlanta, Ga.

Early in her career, Chloe Barzey had to learn the unwritten rules of success, from business language to dress. Passed over for a promotion, she learned that highly regarded work alone did not guarantee advancement. “I had to learn to advocate for myself and develop a network of mentors and sponsors to advocate on my behalf,” she recalls.

Barzey now has more than 29 years of professional experience, 23 of them with Accenture, a Fortune Global 500 provider of consulting and professional services. She is a global client account lead and the managing director of Accenture’s Atlanta office, overseeing the firm’s vision and operations across Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama. Her conversation series on LinkedIn, “Connecting On Change,” allows her to accomplish virtually what she strives for in the physical world: sparking dialogue and bringing people together to make Atlanta a better place.

“Leadership is the ability to set a vision and collaborate with others to achieve a common purpose,” she states. “Today more than ever I believe leaders need to have empathy along with vision, and visibly model inclusive behavior to unlock innovation and attract and retain the best talent. Business leaders need to increase the definition of value from just a focus on financial results to include sustainability and inclusion and diversity with an emphasis on serving all key stakeholders, including shareholders, employees and the community.”

Barzey sponsors women and diversity programs within Accenture and serves the Atlanta community as a board member of the local International Women’s Forum chapter, The Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, the United Way, and The Atlanta History Center. She is a member of The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Board and the Howard University Supply Chain Advisory Board. She has a MBA from The University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University.
