Adonis turns two.
In honor of his son’s birthday, Drake celebrated with a rare public post. Taking to Instagram Friday, the proud father shared a photo from what appears to be a birthday party. Adonis’ name was spelled out in an arc of gold balloons surrounded by gold orbs and star balloons in a marble foyer.
“Happy Birthday King,” he captioned the pic.

Drake has kept his relationship with Adonis mostly private, but he has shared rare glimpses into their father-son bond. On Father’s Day, he revealed a painted piece of art he received from his son that read “Papa.” He previously posted another hand-painted gift that his little “Picasso” gave him last Christmas.
Pusha-T first exposed Drake’s secret child, whose mother is former adult film star Sophie Brussaux, on his diss track “The Story of Adidon.” Drake later confirmed that he fathered a son on his album Scorpion in June 2018. “I wasn’t hidin’ my kid from the world, I was hidin’ the world from my kid,” he raps on “Emotionless.”

Drake and Brussaux continue to co-parent their son. Adonis’ mother also paid tribute to her baby boy on his 2nd birthday by posting a throwback photo of her breastfeeding along with a caption in French.
The translation reads: “Son of my life, being your mom is the most beautiful thing in the world … 2 years already my Adonis.”
During a 2018 appearance on HBO’s “The Shop,” Drake opened up about fatherhood and his relationship with the mother of his child. “I am a single father learning to communicate with a woman who, you know, we’ve had our moments,” he said. “I don’t ever want the world to be angry at his mother. Like, we have found ourselves in a situation and we are both equally responsible and now, like, I’m just really excited to be a great father.”
