Eddie George has gone back to his alma mater to secure a once highly-touted Big Ten recruit.
Former Ohio State linebacker K’Vaughan Pope announced Friday that he will transfer to Tennessee State to continue his college football career.
“Called up Eddie George and asked him what’s new and he said it’s you,” Pope wrote on Twitter announcing the move.

Pope left Ohio State following an incident last season during the Buckeye’s win over Akron where he reportedly removed his jersey and went to the locker room. He was dismissed from the program the following day.
The former four-star linebacker played in 33 games, recording 19 tackles, five pass breakups and two interceptions at Ohio State.
Pope was the No. 4 overall prospect in the state of Virginia, the No. 9 inside linebacker prospect in the class and the No. 217 overall prospect in the 2018 class. He committed to Ohio State over scholarship offers from Alabama, LSU, Florida, Florida State and others.
Pope has at least one season of eligibility remaining, and possibly two since the NCAA did not count eligibility during the 2020 pandemic season.
