FAMU continues to load FBS transfers, the latest comes from Tulane

TJ Huggins, a former 3-star prospect, has committed to FAMU. Huggins let the world know he was headed to the Highest of Seven Hills in a Twitter post that stated, “Pleasure doing business witcha Let’s get to work!! #LLco.”

Huggins was rated a 3-star prospect by ESPN, Rivals, and 247sports.com coming out of Miami Killian High School, where in his last season, he pulled in 20 passes for 472 yards and five touchdowns.

He had offers from Alabama State, Syracuse, Indiana, Michigan State, Southern Miss, UCF, USF, Maryland, Florida Atlantic, UAB, Boston College, Coastal Carolina, Appalachian State, Utah, Virginia Tech, Utah State, East Carolina, Pittsburgh, and Toledo, before committing to Tulane.

Huggins appeared in three games in his sophomore season for the Green Wave after redshirting as a freshman.

One scouting report lists him as “smooth in and out of routes, high points the ball well, shows a willingness to go up and get contested balls.” He was also noted as being able to create separation and can be dangerous after the catch.
