Former Jackson State standout wide receiver Shane “Hollywood” Hooks announced Thursday evening he had committed to Ole Miss.

The Orlando, Florida product said in a Twitter post that he was “Following his own path” and had previously stated in a previous social media post that he intended to prove to naysayers that the could play at the Power 5 level.
Hooks had a breakout season in 2022, becoming an integral part of the Tiger offense and a favorite target of quarterback Shadeur Sanders. Hooks led the team with 66 receptions for 775 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Hooks had offers from Cincinnati, Western Michigan, Old Dominion, UNLV, and Ole Miss. He also considered heading to Colorado to reunite with Deion Sanders but chose the Rebels.

After he teased a decision the day before with a tweet that read “Big NEWS OTW!!!”, Jackson State linebacker Jurriente Davis announced his commitment to Texas A&M.

The 6-foot-1, 225-pound linebacker from Greensboro, North Carolina, recorded 58 total tackles. 7.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and a forced fumble in a season in which he was also named to the All-SWAC third team.
Davis started his college career at Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, Kansas in 2019, recording 45 tackles in seven games. After the COVID-19 pandemic canceled the 2020 season, Davis moved on to Middle Tennessee State University, where in 12 games he accounted for 71 total tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, and two fumble recoveries.
Davis drew interest from several Central Florida, Colorado, Kentucky, and Texas A&M.
