Former NC Central WR Ryan McDaniel signs with Jacksonville Jaguars

North Carolina Central wide receiver Ryan McDaniel has been picked up with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Prior to signing with the Jaguars, McDaniel received a rookie minicamp invite from the Kansas City Chiefs.

Beginning his college career at Tulsa, McDaniel played three seasons with the Eagles recording 100 receptions for 1,206 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.

This past season, he was named to the All-MEAC second team leading the conference in receptions while finishing third in receiving yards.

Joining McDaniel on the Jacksonville Jaguars is former Norfolk State defensive end De’Shaan Dixon, who signed an undrafted free agent deal with the team on May 1.

The Jaguars are entering their first season after hiring former Super Bowl-winning head coach Doug Pederson to take over the team.

Jacksonville is set to begin team offseason workouts on May 23.
