Grambling State quarterback Noah Bodden enters transfer portal

Having played only four games during the 2021 football season, Grambling State quarterback Noah Bodden has entered the transfer portal.

Bodden made the announcement Sunday on Twitter.

“I would like to thank Grambling State University for the opportunities that they gave me. Thank you GramFam for the all the love and support. And thank you to my brothers on the team for believing in me,” Noah said. “But God has a different plan for, with that being said I’m entering my name into the transfer portal with 4 years of eligibility left.”

Bodden’s decision to transfer comes just months after Grambling announced in December the hiring of Hue Jackson as the school’s new head coach.

Since Jackson’s arrival, Grambling has received commitments from at least three other quarterbacks, including Julian Calvez, Quaterius Hawkins, and UCLA transfer Kijiya Hollawayne.

In his four games with the Tigers, Bodden completed 44 of 102 passes for 476 yards, including four interceptions.

The 6-4, 218-pound pro-style quarterback was considered a 3-star prospect by 247 Sports and was considered the No.1 ranked quarterback in New York coming out of Christ the King (Middle Village) High School.

Bodden Carried offers from Arizona State, Baylor, Oregon, Tennessee, Purdue and Alcorn State.
