Grambling State to play Texas A&M in NCAA baseball tournament

Grambling State will make its first NCAA Division I baseball tournament appearance in 14 years this week.

The Tigers (26-26) are the No. 4 seed in the College Station Regional and will face No. 3 overall national seed Texas A&M from the SEC. The Aggies (44-13) are ranked No. 4 in the country by Baseball America.

Texas and Louisiana are the other teams in the regional. The NCAA Regionals will start on Friday, May 31.

Grambling State β€” in the NCAA Tournament for only the fourth time in program history β€” will be looking for its first win.

Since baseball is on longer part of the MEAC, Grambling State will be the lone HBCU representative in the NCAA tournament this year.
