These shows might have been gone for a minute, but they’re back to bring us the heat we need to close out the year.
While you’re enjoying this abundance of more time spent indoors, you won’t have to worry about getting bored with what’s on TV. Some of your favorite shows are back to pick up where they’ve left off and address all of your unanswered questions, while the new series’ are swooping in to bring us fresh drama to sink our teeth into. Best of all, you won’t need to leave your living room to see the new movies you’ve been waiting on.

01Small Axe — new films premiering each Friday through December 18Small Axe is an anthology comprised of five original films set from the late 1960s to the mid-1980s that tell personal stories from London’s West Indian community, whose lives have been shaped by their own force of will despite rampant racism and discrimination. Small Axe is streaming November 20th, with new films premiering each Friday through December 18th. 
Mangrove | Des Willie 02Power Book II: Ghost — December 6Power Book II: Ghost picks up shortly after the earth-shattering events of Power as Tariq St. Patrick grapples with his father deaths and his mother, Tasha, facing murder charges. The series will return on Sunday, December 6 at 8PM ET/PT on STARZ. 
Starz 03Euphoria — Special Episode — December 6In the aftermath of being left by Jules at the train station and relapsing, the first special episode follows Rue (played by Emmy®-winner—our current Nov/Dec cover star Zendaya) as she celebrates Christmas. This special episode premieres December 6th on HBO. 
04Real Housewives Of Atlanta — December 6Keep your mask and your wig on tight! The ladies of RHOA are bag and their lives are showing no signs of slowing down. 
Bravo 0540 Years A Prisoner — December 840 Years A Prisoner chronicles one of the most controversial shootouts in American history: the 1978 police raid on the radical, back-to-nature group MOVE by the Philadelphia Police Department. Using eyewitness accounts and archival footage of the not widely known confrontation, the film illuminates the story of a city grappling with racial tension and police brutality with alarming topicality and modern-day relevance. 40 Years A Prisoner debuts on HBO and will stream on HBO Max Tuesday, December 8th. 
06Homeschool Musical: Class of 2020 — December 17Told in a self-shot documentaryrel=”noopener noreferrer” target=”_blank”>HBO Max. 
07Sylvie’s Love — December 23Sylvie (Tessa Thompson), who dreams of a career in television, spends her summer days helping around her father’s record store, as she waits for her fiancé to return from war. When Robert (Nnamdi Asomugha) takes a part-time job at the record store, the two begin a friendship that sparks a deep passion in each of them unlike anything they have felt before. 08Soul — December 25Pixar Animation Studios’ Soul introduces Joe Gardner (voice of Jamie Foxx) – a middle-school band teacher who gets the chance of a lifetime to play at the best jazz club in town. But one small misstep takes him from the streets of New York City to The Great Before – a place where new souls get their personalities, quirks and interests before they go to Earth. Soul will debut exclusively on Disney+ on December 25. 
09WONDER WOMAN 1984 — December 25WONDER WOMAN 1984, directed by Patty Jenkins, will become the first title on HBO Max available in 4K Ultra HD, HDR 10, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos when it premieres on December 25th. Also we’re excited to finally see if Insecure‘s Natasha Rothwell will be a friend or foe to Wonder Woman. 
10Yearly Departed — December 30A lineup of all-women comedians—including a few of our faves such as Ziwe (Book of Ziwe), Tiffany Haddish (Girls Trip) and Natasha Rothwell (Insecure)—will deliver a series of eulogies of things they “lost” in the year 2020 in the Amazon Prime Video event Yearly Departed. Hosted by Phoebe Robinson (2 Dope Queens), Yearly Departed will premiere December 30th.
