Here are the top 5 HBCU band halftime shows from Week 2

Most of the games played Saturday were on 9/11.

Many of the halftime shows we witnessed in Week 2 were dedicated to the victims who lost their lives 20 years ago during the September 11, 2001, attacks.

The Southern Heritage Classic between Jackson State and Tennessee State headlined the slate of HBCU football games over the weekend. And there were some interesting halftime performances that featured head-to-head matchups as well.

There were several strong performances, but these were the top five halftime shows from Week 2.

5. Texas Southern (vs. Baylor)
Performed at McLane Stadium, Waco, Texas

4. Jackson State (vs. Tennessee State)
Performed at the Liberty Bowl, Memphis, Tennessee

3. Tennessee State (vs. Jackson State)
Performed at the Liberty Bowl, Memphis, Tennessee

2. North Carolina A&T (vs. Duke)
Performed at Wallace Wade Stadium, Durham, North Carolina

1. Southern (vs. Miles College)
Performed at A.W. Mumford Stadium, Baton Rouge, Louisiana
