Nicki Minaj is known for her several accolades as a female rapper but she’s kicked off the new year by sharing her biggest one yet: becoming a mother.

The 38-year-old gave birth to her first child on September 30th, two months after she made an announcement via Instagram that she and husband Kenneth Petty were expecting.

#PapaBear thank you so very much for choosing me to be your mama ???,” the Queens native captioned the post. “Wishing you guys a happy & prosperous New Year. Thank you for your love & support throughout this journey. It’s meant so much to me. Becoming a mom is by far the most fulfilling job I’ve ever taken on. Sending love to all the superhero mothers out there. Big hugs to all the women who have been pregnant during this challenging time.”

It doesn’t come as a surprise that her son is already dripped out in the latest designer. In one picture, her 3-month old is seen in a Fendi prints onesie with a “Papa Bear” diamond-studded necklace, watch and bracelet to match.

Before the year ended, Minaj revealed details from her pregnancy during an impromptu Q&A with fans on Twitter; including the moment she went into labor.

“I was weirdly calm & I quietly said “omg, I’m about to be in labor” He was very scared & I was laughing @ him,” the Grammy-nominated artist tweeted.

She later tweeted about her experience with breastfeeding and although she was shocked at how quickly he latched, she was taken by surprise at how “Women make this stuff look way too easy.”
