Jermaine Fowler Joins Barbie Ferreria And Dacre Montgomery In Remake Of Classic Horror Film ‘Faces Of Death’

Jermaine Fowler has joined the cast of Legendary Entertainment’s remake of the 1978 horror movie, Faces of Death.

Fowler will appear alongside Euphoria star Barbie Ferreira, Dacre Montgomery, Josie Totah and Charli XCX.

The original film was an early example of viral videos.

“Although it was staged and fictional, many thought it was real and it often was rented under the counter by older brothers at video shops,” Deadline reports. “The film advertised itself as ‘Banned in 52 Countries,’ though that was simple hype.”

“Faces of Death was one of the first viral video tapes, and we are so lucky to be able to use it as a jumping-off point for this exploration of cycles of violence and the way they perpetuate themselves online,” said Mazzei and Goldhaber.

Legendary Entertainment’s version will be produced by Don Murphy and Susan Montford along with Divide/Conquer’s Adam Hendricks and Greg Gilreath. Mazzei and Rick Benattar are executive producing and Cory Kaplan and Derek Bishé are co-producing.
