JT of City Girls Celebrates Her ‘First Day Out’ on New Song

JT FREE.

After spending nearly 16 months behind bars, the City Girls rapper is back home…and she’s getting right back to business. To celebrate her homecoming, Jatavia Johnson has dropped a new track called “JT First Day Out.”

On the Twysted Genius-produced track, JT reflects on her time away and shouts out her fellow City Girl Yung Miami for holding it down while she was away. “I been a real bitch way before the fed case / Yung Miami held me down, that’s a bitch ace / And if a bitch try her, it’s a cold case,” she raps.

During an interview with Ebro Darden on Apple Music’s Beats 1 last month, Yung Miami said she and JT plan to hit the studio to record a new album, which will arrive in spring 2020.

“JT coming home this month,” said Miami. “When she come home we’re working on another album that we’re gonna drop hopefully for spring break. She gotta come home. We gotta record.”

In June 2018, JT started serving a 24-month prison sentence for charges related to felony identity theft. She will have to complete one year of probation following her release.

Meanwhile, Yung Miami is pregnant with her second child, who is due this month.
