Two days after his shocking death, Virgil Abloh’s friends from music and fashion came together to honor him at Louis Vuitton’s “Virgil Was Here” show in Miami on Tuesday.
Kid Cudi, Quavo, and Offset walked the runway alongside models, wearing the boundary-breaking designer’s Spring-Summer 2022 collection. A three-story statue of Virgil, with his Louis Vuitton portfolio in hand, greeted guests during the event, which took place during Art Basel.

The emotional show ended with the Louis Vuitton design team taking the stage to a standing ovation, some of them in tears.
An inspirational quote from Virgil played in the final moments. “There’s no limit. Life is so short that you can’t waste even a day subscribing to what someone thinks you can do versus knowing what you can do,” he said as fireworks exploded over the skyline.
