*Welp! We’ve got good news “Star” stans longing for the show’s return. It looks like they may soon see their wishes fulfilled.
As reported by Blex Media, Lee Daniels has hinted at the revival of “Star” for the small screen.
Daniels responded to an Instagram post by @Iamzoie, where the latter expressed their fervent desire for the show’s comeback.
In his response, Daniels expressed gratitude for the support and revealed that the project is in progress, albeit delayed due to his involvement in other endeavors.
“Love you for this. It is being written. I appreciate everybody’s love! It’s just taken me FOREVER cause I have other projects…It’s crazy, I had NO IDEA when I created this show the response would be like this. #grateful.”
The series, akin to Daniels’ previous creation “Empire” on FOX, revolves around the journey of three young women striving for stardom in the music industry while navigating its glittering allure and harsh realities.
“Star” featured a talented cast including Jude Demorest, Brittany O’Grady, Ryan Destiny, Amiyah Scott, Queen Latifah, Miss Lawrence, Luke James, Lance Gross, Benjamin Bratt, Evan Ross, William Levy, and Brandy.
Initially canceled after three seasons in 2019, Daniels had previously announced plans for a television movie to tie up loose ends, promising fans a thrilling conclusion with the entire cast, even those who had met their demise on screen.
