*Attention all fellas! LeToya Luckett is officially off the market. The entertainer exchanged I-do’s with her boyfriend Taleo Coles in a private ceremony in Houston.
DeVon Franklin officiated the event, which included roughly 200 guests to celebrate the couple’s love.
Among those on hand for the ceremony were Tina Knowles, reality TV personality Toya Wright-Rushing, Luckett’s fellow ex-Destiny Child member LaTavia Roberson, YouTuber Terrell Grice, and rapper Bun B, whose 2007 UGK hit “International Players Anthem (I Choose You)” soundtracked the kiss Luckett and Coles shared to seal their vows, reports Vibe.
For the former Destiny’s Child member, the Outkast-assisted classic was the perfect song to mark the beginning of her new life with Coles. Luckett, who broke the news, revealed to Essence that the classic was an intentional selection for the occasion.
“I feel like our story is one of hope,” the singer/actress also told Essence. “For the single moms who might doubt that love and a blended family are possible, I hope our journey shows them that it’s never too late to find happiness and build something beautiful.”
Described on his private Instagram as an “entrepreneur, explorer [and] cultured.” Coles was the ideal man for Luckett, according to his sister LaToya.
“He’s always been so kind and giving. He’s the person we call when we need something,” she shared with Essence while touching on his relationship with Luckett.
“When he wasn’t home for the holidays, that’s when I knew it was serious,” LaToya added. “I was sad to see him leave, but I’m so very happy for him at the same time.”
So how did Luckett and Coles come together?
That honor belongs to Alexis “Lex” White, a mutual friend the pair had known for two decades before taking the plunge into romantic territory. Luckett was divorcing her second husband, Tommicus Walker in 2022 while Coles was involved in a relationship.

On September 18 of that year, the tide shifted after Luckett prayed for a “heart that was complete and whole” and found out that Coles was single.
“We were on a girls trip to Sedona […] and we’re having a conversation, and she said, ‘Well let me just see what he looks like,’” White recalled.
“‘So this has been your friend all this time, he looks like this, he has all these great qualities.’” Luckett told White.
The vocalist/actress wasn’t the only one affected by Coles. A bond developed with Luckett’s two children developed as the duo’s feelings deepened. So much so that the siblings took notice.
“The kids call us true love,” Luckett expressed while she labeled her man “my best friend, my homie” and her relationship as one where her “soul is at ease.”
