Lil Wayne Addresses Breakup with Denise Bidot

Lil Wayne is making no apologies.

Just a day after rumors surfaced that he and his girlfriend Denise Bidot had split, the rapper is seemingly addressing the breakup. In a cryptic tweet on Wednesday, Weezy spoke out about love and how he’s unwavering in his beliefs.

“I live the way I love and love the way I live. I’m a lover not a lighter bekuz they burn out,” he tweeted. “I am an eternal fire and burning love, either leave with a tan, a 3rd degree burn, or stay and die in love. You’re sweating. Sincerely, the fireman.”

Bidot reportedly dumped Wayne after her met with Donald Trump. “She broke up with Wayne. It wasn’t just his Trump support, but that was a big part,” a source close to Bidot told B. Scott. “[Denise] was shocked when she saw Wayne come out with Trump. She’s so disappointed in him.”

Fans noticed that the model unfollowed Weezy on Instagram before deactivating her account. His Trump endorsement prompted backlash from Bidot’s social media followers, who criticized Wayne’s politics.

Earlier in the week, Bidot alluded to the breakup on her Instagram Story. “Sometimes love just isn’t enough…” she wrote. The same day, she made reference to the tumultuous year, tweeting, “Wow … can this year be over already.”

The couple, who started dating around April, had professed their love for each other on social media. “These past 5 months have been filled with more love, passion and laughter than i ever thought possible,” Bidot wrote while celebrating Wayne’s birthday in September. “You’re my best friend, my lover, and way more than a dream come true.”

As of Wednesday, Wayne has yet to remove photos of Bidot from his Instagram feed.
